Business Activities

Judy Ridgway is an olive oil consultant and gives expert advice on product choice and conducts staff training sessions for leading importers, wholesalers and retailers. She works with David Rosengarten on his Olive Oil Club.

Judy Ridgway writes books and articles on olive oil and related subjects such as travel, cuisine and cooking.

She appears on television and radio in both news and feature programmes.

She tastes and assesses olive oils on a regular basis for growers and producers world-wide.

She works with public relations and promotions consultancies, training staff, advising on written material and running tastings for the media.

She devises training courses such as the Savantes Qualifier and Refresher Courses and the Blending With The Best courses in Australia and the Slow Food seminars in London. She runs seminars for the Catering Trade at exhibitions such as the Restaurant Show and Hotelympia and at catering schools. She also runs tutored tastings for the Retail Trade at shows such as the Speciality Food Fair and the Nutrition Show and at private venues in London and Brighton.

She conducts tutored tastings and seminars for the general public with organizations such as Slow Food, the Sainsbury Magazine, the Italian Trade Centre in London, the Sunday Times International Festival of Food and Wine, the Guild of Food Writers and the International Food and Wine Society.

Other work has included seminars at Conferences in London, Barcelona, and Melbourne, seminars in Brussels for the Benelux branch of the EU Promotion Huile d'Olive and in Athens for the British Helenic Chamber of Commerce Two-day Symposium on Olive Oil and the Canadian/Ancient Greece Association.
